Orange County is a county in Southern California, United States. Its county seat is Santa Ana. Its population of 3,056,865, is larger than that of 20 states. It is the second most populous county in the state of California, and the fifth most populous in the United States. Orange County's only major airport is the John Wayne-Orange County Airport. It is located approximately 35 miles south of Los Angeles and is surrounded by the cities of Newport Beach, Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, and Irvine. The Airport is 14 miles from Orange County's signature attraction - Anaheim, home of the Disneyland Resort. By contrast, Los Angeles International Airport is 35 miles from Anaheim. The main runway at the Airport, at 5,701 feet, is one of the shortest of any major airport in the United States, effectively restricting use to aircraft no larger than a Boeing 757. The Airport can be accessed by the San Diego (I-405) Freeway, the Costa Mesa (SR-55) Freeway, and the Corona Del Mar Freeway/San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Toll Road (SR-73). The Ground Transportation Center (GTC) is located on the Arrival (Lower) Level in the center of the East Parking Structure, directly across from the Thomas F. Riley Terminal. The GTC offers transportation services including Airport Bus, commercial and courtesy shuttles, and taxis. The car rental pick-up and return is located on the Ground Level of the GTC. The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) bus stop is located on the terminal side, south of the GTC. The Airport offers a variety of parking options. Terminal parking is available in A1, A2, B1 and B2, as well as convenient curbside Valet Parking. Remote parking is available at the Airport's "Main Street" lot. Complimentary shuttle service to the terminal is offered every 15 minutes.
